CITIZENS GYM / MARKETING + WEBSITE PHOTOSHOOT
As a photographer I'm very attracted to clean lines in an image. It's the repetition and geometry in architecture and interior spaces that makes photographing them so enjoyable. I've got an in depth technique used to create the look for our interior photography but I'll save that story for a different day. Today I'm super excited about our new next door neighbor Citizens Gym! The only downside is I don't have an excuse to not be in the best shape of my life, haha! I took this promotional photo of their spectacular space to welcome them to the neighborhood.
The space itself is impressively refined with all the charm of the unrefined qualities of older buildings. The thing that stood out about it the most when working on this advertisement was the incorporation of the buildings original elements. The restored ceilings, exposed brick, and original concrete floors show how re-purposing a space can give it great character. I also think the splash of red from the signage is in perfect contrast to the monochromatic color scheme. I have to give a quick shout out to Rob Estes with Brushstroke Signs for the graphic design and sign installation on the back wall.
